we were dreaming about rimini and italo boot mixes, when we met this mad professor of italectro in a sleazy berlin neukölln pizza spot. he saved our day with a pearl of a dancefloor sunset. italectro - that´s a smart thing to say and that´s what we wanted. a funky italian 12inch. then tetsuo came and deliverd a nu wave prada dressed remix and added a heartbreak story. so at last frank martiniq was the boxer we needed to punch this track to a cologne style brutzel disco stomp that takes us back to reality

florian meindl, aged 20 seems to be a new genius from a small town, called eferding in austria. by the age of sweet 14, he started to turn the decks. very soon he became a professional and played already with ricardo villalobos and monika kruse. florian had his debut on balkon rec. he is also know from our <talente mit stil> compilation. oliver koletzki has always a meindl track in his charts and dj-sets suggesting this boy to be the newcomer 2006. florians three tracks make our ears smile, because of their amazing sounddesign and composition. >sputnik<, get supported by kiki, jona, gregor trasher, martin eyerer, benno blome (sender)

legendary series to be continued with 2 acts from the uk. first >cool cuts< releases have been much in demand, and peeps are still trying to get hold of them - if you are lucky! a side is a brilliant track by the b-siderz - in the vein of some more proper house sounding stuff with nice sublime guitars struggling their way thru 2 big breaks complemented with an pushing b line and sophisticated acid sounds in between. other side is our beloved ma saski from manchester with an already massive electro tinged primetime stomper. the guys from the >tribal gathering< camp play around with some b lines emphasising those little but most effectual breaks through a wicked male poetry. mind you, that tune goes on and on without getting lame - dj linus always starts his sets with that tune - big!

a mountain of one have revisited the 70s and 80s in order to plunder not the back catalogue of disco or punk but the sounds of talk talk fleetwood mac mike oldfield & the the

avida perfectly fit in with a kind of underground music that was getting all the rage in italy in those days: nonsense music (musica demenziale). the structures were intentionally primitive, often made on cheap electronics. maurizio damis vocals , inspired on early 60s italian singers (to carry on and close the typical 20 years cycle of revivals), such as edoardo vianello, had an appealing mix of trash and humour. avida was essen tially a live band. their performances were a mix of theatre and music, where visuals played a major role. anyway, today some of that music still sounds interesting and not only due to its lyric. in our opinion about the best music alexander robotnik ever made

the original allez allez track dates from 1982 (!). the belgian funky new wave band was very successful during those early eighties days, but this was without a doubt their biggest tune. our norwegian homies lindstroem & prins thomas took care of the remix on the flipside. northern quality as usual!
